An Equal edge for an Education

 

Computers for Kids is a non-profit organization for families with children. The families that we want to assist are Low Income. The children that we are helping have computer needs for school or educational purposes. Our schools today are using computers more and more. CFK is creating a cycle for used computers sitting in garages, closets, and offices. The Cycle is then passed on down to Children in lower income households. Computers For Kids uses the services of AmegA Computers and Web design. AmegA sets up the computer for Children’s use. The time is then donated to CFK and the computer is then returned to CFK. CFK then distibutes the working computer to homes that are in need of the PC.

 

We are also trying to receive coupons, discounts, and donations from software companies to pass on with the computers.

 

Every Child deserves the same edge for an education.

There are many factors that determine a base for a good education.

The teacher… Their parents’…Positive support… Proper supplies…Good resources

There are always more elements to an education but Computers for Kids can only do so much.

 

CFK is looking for all computer components that will be useful for educational purposes.

 

This does limit the type of donations we can receive. We are looking for working:

·    Fully built IBM compatible computer with a Pentium or faster processor.

·    IBM compatible Monitors starting at 15” or larger though we do appreciate 17” unless with a computer. Almost have to many monitors, OK we do.

·    Components that can be used to build a computer, for example:

1.   Cases and power supplies

2.   Motherboards

3.   Memory

4.   Hard Drives

5.   CD-ROMs

6.   Sound, video, modem, network cards

7.   Mice and keyboards

8.   Scanners and printers

9.   Children’s Software

  Christmas Time is around the corner again. Computers For Kids and Santa Claus are teaming up once again for the holidays. Computers For Kids is looking for good kids and needy homes for computer systems. These computers are for educational purposes. Homes that are in need of computers for school are to contact AmegA Computers and Computers For Kids at 701-221-0865. A fair education is what AmegA Computers and Computers For Kids believe in. We offer the tools for that belief.
December 21st is the Day and 11:00am - 3:00pm is the time. We need all interested families to come down prior to this date and fill out an application. CFK is also looking for monitors and software.
